Q: ENVISION YOUR BIGGEST DREAM, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
I’ll love to have my songs on the playlist of every body in the world. Young, old, African, Asian, American, etc. I don’t just want to do music for the fame or fortune, I do it because I want people to listen to me and feel better and be better about their life, job, relationship and all. If the whole world can connect with me and find joy, peace of mind and humor through my music then I can call it a life well spent.
“…I always put off the bathroom light when I’m inside even when it’s dark. I’d rather use natural lights like the day light or moon light.”
Q: YOU HAVE A BELIEF THAT MUSIC CAN CHANGE THE WORLD, HOW CAN MUSIC CHANGE THE WORLD?
Music is a universal language. Everybody loves music in different degrees. The world has diverse religions, cultures, races and beliefs. The only thing common is music. Music can have an effect on someone who doesn’t even understand the lyrics or meaning of a song but is moved by the melody or energy. I can testify to that. I once bought an album sung by a Congolese and French group called ‘MAKOMA’. Up till now, I still do not understand a word in their songs, but I still sing the songs word for word. My point is, even if music cannot change the world in one day, with the right and positive content it can greatly influence the world to a better place.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE PHILOSOPHY?
Whatever you sow you reap. You cannot get what you did not give. It also applies to our inner self. You cannot achieve what you never believed you could achieve. I believe the universe works in sync with our thought process and efforts. Manner may not fall from heaven to your door step but if you believe, you will find your way to where manner is. You get? Everything we are and we become starts within us first.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF THE TERM “A SUCCESSFUL MUSIC CAREER”?
A successful music career is basically creating timeless music and being acknowledged for it. A timeless song is appreciated every time and everywhere. There are songs and even musicians that reign for a period of time and after that you never here about them or their music again. They just trend and go. I don’t want to be like that. I want to be timeless.
“What i love the most about Winifred is her ambitious nature. She knows she has what it takes to be a great and successful artiste and she is certainly not sleeping on it.” – Music Critic.
Q: WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS?
I see my albums topping the charts in international music platforms. Winning Grammy awards, becoming a United Nations ambassador and putting on some healthy weight, lol. 3 years is a really long time for this girl to do great things. Enough time to go international. I see beyond making it in Nigeria. For me, it’s Lagos to the world.
Q: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR LEISURE BESIDES ENJOYING NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS AND OF COURSE SINGING?
I love to read books. I used to own a blog. I love to write journals. There is this journal I have been writing on since 2012, about my life experiences. I like to write on it because it reminds me of my past and how much progress I have made over the years. Some day, I’ll make a movie out of it and pass it on to my next and future generations for their reading pleasure and for inspiration. I hardly watch television, I’d rather be on my phone or sleep. Now that I think about it, I should have been a geek but the ‘slay queen’ in me won’t let me be, lol.
